Balkan Vlachs are not an ethnic group!

I think by now it's common knowledge that most Vlach groups are unrelated to one another.

To mention some examples:

Albanian Vlachs=Latinized Albanians
North Epirus Vlachs= Greeks
FYROM Vlachs= Mostly Greeks
Vlachs in Serbia= Latinized Slavs

You are right. They are not a distinct ethnicity. They cluster with host populations much more than they cluster with Romanians. Also, phenotypically they are different from Romanians.

Also there are no Albanian vlachs , they came from Greece. You can claim all of them as yours.

Only North Epirot vlachs are Greeks. The rest do not have Greek ethnic consciousness and do not speak our language.
