A music teacher, Şenay Aybüke Yalçın serving at a a southeastern city of Turkey was killed in a PKK attack. PKK is known to have carried out such attacks targeting teachers in the Southeast.

The international community and media, especially the EU, failing to sympathize with Turkish people who have been forced to go through consequent terror incidents and openly catering to the interests of PKK contributes to the rising xenophobic sentiments and alienation of the country.

The PKK’s activities in Germany have long been a source of tension between Ankara and Berlin. Most recently, Turkey blocked visit of German lawmakers to their soldiers stationed at the Incirlik airbase due to controversial statements, mostly made by lawmakers from the socialist Die Linke party (The Left) who publicly announced their support to the PKK.

German FM Gabriel has underlined that eradicating all financial resources to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in Germany and preventing its activities on German soil are in the interest of Berlin, ahead of a visit to Ankara to resolve the İncirlik Air Base crisis so that parliamentarians can visit German troops stationed at the base.

“It’s totally in our interest not to leave any room for PKK activities on German territory and to eradicate the PKK’s financial resources. Turkey is right to bring this issue to the agenda,” German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel told the Bild am Sonntag on June 4 in an interview.

Consequent PKK attacks undermine the Kurdish politics. HDP gained a momentum 2 years ago when it beat the 10 percent threshold also with support from some Turks in the West but failing to keep a clear distance from PKK it's been gradually losing its popularity and in the last referendum even many Kurds voted for Yes as a reaction.

HDP gained a momentum 2 years ago when it beat the 10 percent threshold also with support from some Turks in the West but failing to keep a clear distance from PKK it's been gradually losing its popularity and in the last referendum even many Kurds voted for Yes as a reaction.

The government's increasingly anti-Kurdish policy (Against Syrian Kurdish groups, against Iraqi Kurdish independence) is also among some of the reasons including the destruction of some Kurdish towns in the East which is very unprofessional considering that the Turkish Army is NATOs 2nd biggest.
