Indigenous transgender roles and non-binary genders exist in some traditionally Islamic societies (mostly in south and south east asia) whereas such things were wiped out in christian areas. Most of the modern transphobia comes from a mix of european influence, and an incorrect conflation of transgender and non-binary people with homosexuals.

They are intersex people, not trans. And they everywhere in the Indic regions of Pakistan (Punjab, Sindh) which make up 80% of the country's population.

They are not biologically quite male nor are they quite female. They had no voting rights or anything. Their mere existence being recognized is the bare minimum Pakistan could do.

And they are treated with quite contempt. They beg everywhere on the streets and harass locals for money everywhere. You could say the reason they beg for money is because they are shunned from society and its hard for them to get a job or anything, but their begging contributes to their image.

If youre refering to Hijra (assuming it to be so), theyre not intersex as the majority are born as physiologicaly normal males.
