Europe, Asia and all other continents don't exist. Formerly, the outer limit of Europe was the Dniester river, later the Dnieper, then the Don, and the Volga shortly after. Finally, Denis Diderot, the famous French philosopher, who was friend of Catherine II the Great, decided in his Encyclopedia that the Ural mountains were the legit natural barrrier.
Modern Europeans invented the continents. To the Ancient Greeks and the Romans, there were no continents. The Mediterranean Sea was a world in itself.arrier
