It has nothing to do with the monetary union and Germany whatsoever. And their ILLEGAL trade practises which hurt the world economy and especially the south. Germany's greediness will be its downfall. Personally I fanatically boycott all German products for some years now.
President Donald Trump had harsh words for Germany at a NATO meeting in Belgium this week, where he reportedly referred to the Germans as “bad, very bad.” Gary Cohn, the president’s top economic adviser, later clarified that Trump was referring to Germany’s trade practices.
The criticism of a close U.S. ally at a typically pre-programmed diplomatic conference raised eyebrows across Europe, as world leaders sought to understand the new, unpredictable American president. But to many economists, such criticism was long overdue. They believe Germany’s economic policies really have hurt global economic growth, especially in Europe whose recovery from the 2008 financial crisis has been very slow — much slower than in the United States.
Trump has a point when he criticizes the U.S.-Germany trade deficit: German exports really are artificially inflated. For years, German rules and regulations have held down wage growth. Furthermore, this slow wage growth, in combination with tight fiscal policy, has led to less German consumer demand, an especially large problem for countries like Spain, Greece and Italy. In other words, German citizens could be buying Greek wines and Italian pastas, providing an influx of money into those countries. But German economic policies have choked off such consumer spending, holding back both the recovery of their weaker neighbors as well as the global economy.

Germany is one of the most corrupted countries in Europe and the world. From the journalists to their corporations. Oh don't get me started. I'll try to open a thread about it soon.
I wish Greece had the guts and the muscle to fine Germany billions of euros like the US did when they were caught bribing them.
For the sake of anyone, this nazi dominated eu union must be destroyed.

Typical story of the grasshopper and the ant. The grasshopper (Latin) does nothing but party all-year long mocking the work-oriented ant (Germanic). But when times are tough the grasshopper finally learns to regret his lack of longterm thinking.
I also need to learn to accept our compatibility with Turks. While subjugated and while often revolting, the Germanic Goths did contribute to the Hunnic Empire. Also, until the 18th century Gothic was still spoken in rural Crimea. Guess what people they had as direct neighbours: Turkic Crimean Tatars. Some people even refered to them as Tatars who spoke a Germanic language, even if they were a different people. It does make it seem there were little hostilities.

Over-simplification. Spain and Greece both work longer hours than the EU average. Spain actually was in credit re government spending, though not Greece. Greece's main problem has been mass tax evasion. Spain's main problem has been an artificial property and construction bubble, thanks in no small measure due to Germany's interest rates.

Germans are corrupt as hell.
From Siemens to their armaments companies.. to dictating currency flactuation to positively impact their trade balance and exports.
Bribery scandals between German companies like Siemens and arms companies with Greek companies is nothing short of disgusting.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph. 6:12
Definition of untrustworthy and loose character are those that don't believe in God.

If you were not a ignorant, you would not have to post this graph showing that Spain has created more employment than Germany in the last decades (Not only relative to the population, but absolute).
