Interestingly she suspects if she did it, the African would come out more than double my mother's, and she was very surprised SHE wasn't 1/8 black herself. Presumably, my great grandmother should be around 1/8.

She isn't. My great aunt assumed she and my grandmother were 1/8, but they are roughly half of that, going based on how the rest of us tested. This is why I wanted my great aunt to test, to see if hers would come out higher because small amounts of things don't divide evenly.
