I didn't know that. If that is the case, it would explain where the N. African in my 23andMe score went! It makes sense, though, considering how ancient the admixture is (going all the way back to the Phoenicians). I'm pretty sure original N. Africans were caucasoid, they've just admixed a lot with black Africans. But when you spot a Berber from areas that are relatively isolated, they look similar to S. Europeans in facial structure and coloration.
