Czech bagpipes, unlike the most another bagpispes in the Europe, are not blowing by the mouth of the bagpiper
but by his arm
In the Czech Republic is the bagpipes traditionally tied with southern Bohemia, more correctly with the town of Strakonice, near Písek.
During Austro-Hungarian times was Imperial & Royal Infantry Regiment Nr. 11 (sooner nr. 25, HQs at Písek, recruitment area its surroundings includes Strakonice), the only one unit in Austro-Hungarian Army what had its own bagpipers.
The mentioned town of Strakonice, hosts every year an International Festival of Bagpipers
