The US don't have North Korean prisoners as a bargaining chip. North Korea also claims to have nuclear weapons which can inflict massive damage to South Korea and Japan should they go ham in a war. They probably feel untouchable.

The USA could clear out their Nuclear Weapons before North Korea has any clue. The USA should not fear them,, they could invade South Korea if they wanted but then South Korea should bulk up on their defense. The USA cannot and should not be the world's Policeman. These countries even including European countries need to take care of their own defense.

No, we would never invade them unless they are a direct threat. However, North Korea could go into South Korea very easily and then who knows what would happen. I hope the USA does not get militarily involved. It is not our place to get involved in Korean affairs.
