Westernmost Slavs (Hanoverian Wends)

They live in a region called Hanoverian Wendland, just to the south of Hamburg, and they used to speak one of dialects of Polabian, called Dravano-Polabian. In the 1600s-1700s there were still ca. 15,000 speakers in 120 villages, while in 1890 there were just 585 speakers left (according to the census):

Well, perhaps the Wagri and a few other Slavic tribes lived more to the west:

but it shows, how population was spread and

I think that people from these villages probably cluster genetically close to Lusatian Sorbs.

Com on, he looks more like Borreby And look the other two men , they look very much German despite their Slavic roots.
