IQ tests obviously measure something valid, because they correlate more strongly with things like academic and career success than anything else we can measure. That said, it's a big mistake to assume that "more IQ equals more smarts" in a linear scale. Plenty of people with high IQ's can't really think for themselves. They might be extremely good at crunching numbers or throwing together a pastiche of learned cliches to write an eloquent wall of text justifying the ideas of someone else, but they can't come up with their own ideas. Or if they do, they come up with ideas that are ludicrous if you look at them with a bit of common sense. That's why I would rather go by my own observations than by an IQ test when judging someone's intellectual worth.

I think that IQ measures raw brain power, but it doesn't measure entirely how valuable a brain is. One analogy would be chess computers. Before, chess computers would use "raw power" to determine the best move in a position. Basically calculate every possible move in a given position. Obvious moves that are mistakes were not avoided in the calculation except for moves that lost material and that's how it worked. It was basically an arms race of who can get a computer that calculates the most moves/ second. Today they are more advanced and able to figure out what moves are no acquired to calculate giving the computer less time to lose even if it calculates the same moves pr. second, it will yield a much faster and stronger chess computer finding the best move much faster. That's also how our brains work. Except for the X factor being things such as instinct and creativity. Who cares if your brain works like a well oiled machine when you can't figure out how to make that machine as effective as possible. I'm sure you can find plenty of people with the IQ of Tesla, however most of them will be your run of the mill great engineer, scientist etc. Not a world renounced inventor. To sum it up, IQ is very important, but not the end all be all. Many estimate that whites have been more successful compared to east Asians due to x factors such as creativity.

At a psychologist I got an IQ of 85 (it says learning difficulty below average on my test) but do I give you the impression that I have a learning difficulty and Im below average intelligent? I expected to be at least average intelligent like 90-100. Id like to verify my results with a second IQ test at another psychologist but didnt do so far.

Who cares about IQ. If you desire high IQ individuals then by all means displace your country with Ashnekazis and east Asians. I have no wish to do that for California.

On the other hand I also don't want to be surrounded by millions of low IQ Mestizos either.

Sincerely I have never wanted to know my IQ, because I could prejudge to myself. Just imagine that the day of the test I have a bad day and give bad results, my test would say that I have a low IQ (for example 115 that is very low for me)...the rest of my life I would think that I'm a dumb...and as you know that's absolutely false and nonsense.

Nowadays in this forum it is often said IQ is not an accurate and legitimate way of measuring intelligence. Those who think that, why do you thnik so? If it's not measuring intelligence, what is it measuring? And what could measure intelligence if not an IQ test?

In university we saw much scientific evidence and published articles that iq can't measure most of intelligence, but it definitely measures some aspects of it.

High IQ are often found in wealthy countries. But it's wrong to think that some xountries are wealthy because they get high score on IQ tests. They get high scores precisely because they are wealthy. All this is biased.

Nobody ask in real life what yout iq score was. They ask for your gpa and test scores related to your job. What skills you have. Then they ask what you do for a living and how much money you make.
Then they talk with you to see if you sound like a retard.
