He's probably the best striker in MMA but he's not going to beat Mayweather unless his team figured something out that 49 professional boxers - many of whom were the best of the best in their prime - couldn't figure out.
That being said Mayweather avoided fighting the best of his contemporaries in their prime or in the case of Alvarez made them cut down a shit load of weight with the understanding it would effect his performance. McGregor is in his prime but... McGregor doesn't have decades of doing exclusively boxing. That's significant. Professional boxers can change gears easily during a match unlike an MMA fighter whose time is consumed learning aspects of half a dozen art forms. He isn't likely to beat some whose life excluvisely revolves around only one art form. McGregor's only hope is a knock out and he'll approach Mayweather in such an unusual way and make it count before Mayweather can adjust. That's the only way he'd win.
Another issue is McGregor's cardio is poor. He gets tired fast.
It'll probably be a long boring fight with McGregor clinching often because he's tired.
In a real fight McGregor would kill Mayweather in less than a minute but boxing is Mayweather's world.

You couldn't just look up where he's from? He's Slovakian, meaning he's Slavic. Although he looks like a Gypsy so perhaps he isn't even Slavic nor German.
To the OP:
1) Mcgregor looks more Germanic than Irish.
2) Mcgregor does not have red hair.
3) Slavic fighters in MMA/kickboxing/boxing/wrestling, on average, do better than Germanic/Celtic. Lomachenko might be the best boxer in the world right now, Kovalev is still up there too.
4) Khabib/Ferguson would destroy Mcgregor, he by no means is the best MMA fighter in the world right now. Alvarez is extremely overrated.
5) Caucasus people are probably the best per capita at combat sports.

A hungarian article refers to Buchinger as a "hungarian dude". I looked at his facebook posts and I have seen him write in hungarian. He's most likely a bilingual(hungarian and slovakian) Roma from Slovakia.
