I have been studying economics and Greece especially for years. I have investment in Greece myself. I own Greek Bank stocks.

Problem with Greece as well as any other state on Balkans is that people are ignorant.

For example: How many Greeks are ready to suffer famine, poverty just to protect Sovereignty of Greece? NONE.

If it doesn't work with Germany go with those that you can make deal with. Russians, Turks etc...

Greece should act on behalf of it's people, not IMF or Germany, but problem is Greeks "are not ready to experiment" because
transitions are painful and full of obstacles so everyone is supporting this agony with IMF, Germany, EU etc..

The Greek people already voted "NO" to the bailout. The government shoved it down the people's throat anyways.

Yes .. and people should have rebelled. I remember that referendum.

No Greek wanted to go back to the weak chaotic Drachma currency. The EURO maybe deflationary for Greece but they seem to like having a stronger currency. They want rather suffer than suffer a unknown fate with the Drachma and default.

Greeks want to go back to Drachma and rebuild from there. It would have given Greeks a good 10 years to reconstruct but still being battered by Germans after 10 years of chaos and counting.
