tbh, parents suffer more abuse and suffering due to love than spouses...parent's love is taken for granted, parents gets abused verbally by rebellious children, and even blame their failings on parents. While a spouse's love is finite...a parent (especially a momm) love is the closest to unconditional love you can get in this life.

Yeah I guess so. That's why it can be so devastating if children don't get along well with their parents. It has far-reaching consequences. Parents bear a lot of responsibility for their children's future success in life.

I'm not 85; I'm 87. I used the quotation marks around the word "Love" because so many people confuse affection And lust.
In general, when a person claims to be "in love" he/.she is hormonally intoxicated. Were this not so, fewer marriages would end in divorce court after the intoxication has worn off.
