The illusion generated by Turkey being a hot topic for the global media in people that Turkey is not safe for touristic visits does not reflect the truth at all. While it's true that Turkey has had its share of the recent terror outbreak in the world; it's still a safe country. England, France etc. all had consequent attacks, even more than Turkey in recent times.

The tourists who are not affected by this delusion and visit Turkey can confirm that. A research conducted on a one-thousand sample of Dutch tourists revealed that %96 of them have felt completely safe in Turkey and %89 of them would like to visit Turkey again.

Turkish holiday resorts are not any less safe than other places that draw tourists. I was in one of these resorts and was full as hell. Some recent footages:

Turkey at the moment has real problems. Explosions and terrorist attacks happened. You can't just erase that by posting pretty pictures.

Better face the problems, fix them, then try to bring all the tourists back.

Just because you feel something to be true, it doesn't mean it's a fact.

"to hate Turkey" is too ambiguous and broad a concept to be meaningful or add anything to the discourse of this thread. To "hate" in and on itself is a pointless action and Turkey as a country has too many dimensions and perspectives for a grown up person to simply "hate" it.

It almost feels like I am communicating with a 3 year old.



The reality of the situation is that whatever happens to Turkey also affects Cyprus, and just as the life of me and my family are at stake every day because of the actions of your government, I am also entitled to have an opinion and a voice on the matters of Turkey... even more so than all the Brits, French and Germans in the world who are mostly unaffected and safe at home.
