Default Latin American Whites Eurogenes K15 PCA

User Birdman and i have gathered around 1.500 latin american gedmatch kits and that allows us to make several ancetry barplots, boxplots, pca maps, etc.

In this case we have done a pca map using Eurogenes K15 and only using White latinos (+90% caucasian) of 5 countries that have a lot of people scoring like that. I have not added other countries because the white sample in those is too small

    opinions?

I think its interesting that while most brazilians have portugues surnames, they probably have a lot of german/north italian ancestry. Will update it onces we get more white samples from other latin american countries.

Its important to say that this are just averages, for example the argentine sample has me scoring in south italy and anakin scoring in Basque. Its just an average of people with heterogeneous results.

Edit: Many thanks to users Litvin and Vascontelo who also contributed with kits

Try using this World map (it will be more reliable because they still have few % of Non-Euro):

    http://gen3553.pagesperso-orange.fr/ADN/K15.htm

This PCA includes the whole World, so you can add also mixed samples (Amerind / SSA ones):

You can actually calculate European percentages even if someone is mixed.

Just extrapolate European admixtures to 100%, if you know what I mean.

yes i did that in my chart with the 1.600 samples but it gave me weird results. Like mexican mestizos with very high eastern euro.

I think that mestizos givev less accurate proportions of european.

I can still put that in the PCA map if you want

But in some cases it's not necessary... I tried to do it myself and the change was minimum.

i think he wants me to turn mestizos into 100% euro. Which seems a great idea. But i got some weird results doing that.
