Isn't it interesting that they are Romance speaking Orthodox? How come the Orthodox Church rose in Romania? How did the Romance language survived in Romania since they were part of a Greek speaking Empire for many years? Does anyone know the answer to these questions?

Romance language surrounded by Slavs is surprizing.
But being Orthodox is not surprizing for me - almost whole Balkan is Orthodox.
