This is the most plausible theory, there are other theories also. And we kept it with honor.

We got ours from the byzantium war flag. It looked exactly the same, with same color etc. The two headed eagle however is a roman symbol or older. It was used in the byzantium especially in different types, and peoples of the Balkan ms adopted it.

The flag of Kastrioti family had the two headed eagle like many other Albanian rulers. Scanderbeg added to his flag the White Star of Balsha Family.
I said, the most plausible theory is that our flag is the war flag of East Roman Empire.Who know what Scanderbeg had in his mind? He was nominated the chief commander of the crusade for the liberation of Constantinuopoli.

Diocletian was Greek and his real name was Diocles. (he assumed the name Diocletian when he became emperor). Most modern historians speculate that he was Greek (so, it is not my opinion).

He was the emperor who split the empire in two.

maybe to symbolize Caesaropapism: two heads but one single body. Austrians later used for emblem the two-headed eagle to consecrate their double-leadership with Hungarians over the Central European "Kakania" (kaiserlich und königlich - imperial and royal)
