You have the wrong hierarchy of concepts going on. Christianity does not need to 'defend Europe'. Christianity is the conduit by which life endures from the top-down, divinity to the people. Once that channel is severed, the lower level dies.

If Europe is obsessed with artifice and godlessness, it's useless and will promptly die.

Even a far superior civilization like Atlanteans in the primordial days died away, reportedly out of mismanagement and sin. Why do you think white Europeans are somehow special?

I think the fact that Europeans were uniformly christian and Turks were muslim helped expelling ottomans from Europe, at the second siege of Vienna the defenders were a pan-european alliance comprised of Polish-lithuanian kingdom and many different german and italian speaking states. Contemporary europeans viewed it as a religious war, they were afraid of Islam, these countries wouldn't have united if it weren't for islamic threat I think. Also in first balkan war the balkanic countries fought together against Turks so as to expel them from the Balkan, when they were done with Turks they started fighting each other in second balkan war some years later.

You are right that the war against Ottomans was an religious war. It was one of many religious war in Europe during the same period of time. Your idea of an United Europe against the Ottomans is wrong. The war against Ottomans in Europe was mostly a war of catholic countries against OE. In this war, apart few isolated cases the Orthodox Church was the best ally of Ottomans against the Catholic Europe. But Orthodox Church was not the only ally, Ottomans had strong ally in Western Europe. Open the books.

Christianity doesn't unify Europe because 45% of German population died during war between German Catholics and German Protestants while only 8% of German population died during WW2.

Not to mention recent Yugoslav wars where technically same people killed each others because of different Abrahamic sects.

Christianity as same as Islam claim to be religion of peace and love, but spread through Europe on very violent way.
Christianity was spread peacefully by the East Roman Empire

You also seem to confuse Christendom with Christianity.

Christianity is always going to be there. It’s embedded. Even the type of secularism we have in Europe today is very much a Christian secularism, and that’s not going to go away. So Europe is not going to become a non-Christian space just because people themselves are no longer Christian. It’s embedded in what it is to be Europe.

Orthodox Church was vassal church of the Ottoman Empire and spread westwards with Ottoman expansion. Fullstop.

Because they were vassal states or bcause they were orthodox? Catholic hungarians of Upper Hungary were also Ottoman vassals for a short period and participated in siege of Vienna on the Turkish side

Don't really know what op means but If we talk about the battles against the Ottoman Empire probably yes and btw some priests, bishops etc... were actually soldiers and commanders through history.
