What about Irish or British people with curly hair (this trait is quite common in the British Isles). Would they also become Coloureds? Even if they were light haired, light eyed and light skinned?

No. If you had light skin and light eyes and looked clearly European (even with curly hair) then you were white.

Even if you looked a little "dodgy" but spoke good Afrikaans and were aligned with the political views at the time, you were also white. You see, there had to be a little loophole for the Afrikaners who looked as if they might not pass their own tests.

If there was any doubt, the pencil test would be invoked.

I have absolutely no idea. I'd imagine that being familiar with and knowing how to cook Afrikaner recipes would count in your favour.

If that was the case, many White Americans would be relegated into being Coloureds or Blacks.
