Many consider the eastern borders of Europe at the limits of "European Russia", however in plenty of these territories Russians are latecomers, conquering lands that were populated mostly by Eastern people since the Middle Ages, thus basically "Europeanizing" lands that were never really part of historical Europe. Which federal districts of today's Russia can certainly be considered European besides the Central federal district? Could only certain parts of the Volga, North-West, Ural and South federal districts be considered as part of Europe, while others not? The rest of federal districts in my opinion don't even get in connection with the notion of Europe.
