It's supposed to be 'Inselaffe' not 'Insel Affe'. It even looks ugly spelled like that. It's almost equivalent to writing 'your' as 'you're'.

I also had a West Flemish teacher who wrote like that, all because he probably thinks West Flemish is an English dialect. I don't show it, but that region hasn't left the greatest impression to me in many ways. They're parochial, hate Dutchmen, revere Anglo-Saxons to their own detriment (they curse in English instead of in Dutch), etc... They're also the most Catholic, but religious in the most narrow-minded way, as in only interested in what told to them underneath the church bell without any individuality of their own.
