Myanthro's Official Haplogroups, Wegene results, and first pca plot point
The search for my official haplogroups is over! Myanthropologies is in fact NOT R1a1, but a G (see what I did there?). Specifically, I am G2b1a. At first I thought it pointed to Jewish origin, but on wegene it says that Iranics like Iranians and Ossetians also have it. It also says that some South and North Caucasians seem to have it as well. Considering that I plot relatively close to Lezgins on a pca, I think it is probably caucasian in origin.
My maternal haplogroup is U8b'c. Now, I don't know what that is, and I can't find very good information on it, but on wegene, it points the arrows towards Scandinavia and Eastern Europe, so maybe it is PIE in origin? I don't know? If anyone knows about this haplogroup, please fill me in. Benjamin Franklin was this haplogroup as well, which I found interesting.
Now, onto my ancestry composition results. The South Asian is high because like ancestry and 23andme, it is a mostly balochi/Caucasus component. The European bit seems innacurate too, because I have nothing to do with the Balkans lol. My European score seemed a lot more accurate on MyHeritage.
Additionally, I have been plotted on a pca for the first time, for those that don't know. It was on dodecad world9, and thanks to a great member named Ibericus. Here I am
