This is very debatable because the earliest IE to branch off, the Anatolian IE, were never from the steppe. There is still no proof that Iranians are originally from the Steppe, there is no proof that proto-greeks are from the steppe. Steppe theory can explain northern and eastern Europeans, sure, but steppe was a sink and not the source of PIE. And even if steppe theory for PIE was true, the Yamnaya's were still a 50/50 mix of West Asian and EHG.

Yes, they were. They were an offshoot of the Suvorovo-Novodanilovka culture.

Actually it is not about steppe theory, because Yamnayans were a late stage and only a part of Indoeuropeans.
I am talking about more or less that area: http://www.theapricity.com/forum/att...3&d=1493623769 where were
found the oldest evidences from Indoeuropean presence before Yamna yet started. And the Yamna herself was a
descendant of Chwałyńsk and this one of Samara and this one of Elshańskaya Cultures.

This theory has been crushed by recent aDNA papers, http://www.biorxiv.org/content/early/2017/05/09/135616

What evidence of IE was found there? I can just as easily, and more convincingly claim that earliest IE is found in Maikop and south of the caucasus because the earliest Kurgans and metallurgy was found there.

Yes, thats because after Iranian split into e/w, Eastern Iranians went northto the Steppes through Khorasan, while Western Iranians stayed West.

Uhm, I require more proof then just claims of some random foragers from NEE being IE. There simply is no proof bro.
