Hero Brother Magyars

Hello,

I'm wondering Hungarians' opinions about the Turanism and other Turanid nations. In Turkey, nationalists see Magyars as kin and Attila is our national hero too.

Even significant ideologist Nihal Atsiz has a poem dedicated to Magyars after the Hungarion Revolution of 1956.

Hero Brother Magyars Poem

Hero Magyars, shed again their glory Turan bloods
over to the dark soils.
They wrote again most glorious legend,
to the history.

The most beautiful death is death for the lands
Nations' homeland live with deaths
They give a thousand life but
Arpad's people cannot be killed

Magyars showed the glory of Turan
to the Soviet herds a.k.a swamp nation,
They died thousand of times but death is not defeat,
just rise of glory

Note: Sorry for lackings, it's hard to translate a Turkish poem to English without semantic change.

Kahraman Macarlar şanlı Turan kanını!
Yazdılar yeniden Tarihe en şerefli,
Yiğitlik Destanını!

Yurt için ölümdür, en güzeli ölümün,
Ölümler yaşatır bir ırkın vahtanını.
Arpad’ın Milleti elbet öldürülemez,
Verse de bin canını!

Bataklık Milleti Moskof sürülerine!
Gösterdi Macarlar Turanlılık şanını!
Binlerce öldüler… Ölmek yenilmek değil,
Yüceltmektir Şanını!

Nihal Atsız was the leading Pan-Turkist/Turanist ideologist in Turkey. Modern Turkish natioalism basically built on his thoughts. He is a very prominent person, but I'm not sure he is known by Hungarians.
