Default Two Greek results from Florina, West Macedonia. VERY Bulgarian shifted

These are the type of Greek results I cannot help but think have Slavic influence. They are greatly removed from Sicilians/Cretans.

They are like Thessalians but shift north.

    Florina, western Macedonia.

The distances are not really close ... it's 8.00 or 7.00 or 9.00

They're like half Sicilian and half Hungarian, and score Bulgarian much closer than southern Italian when usually they are equidistant. Think of it this way. Hell, they're even closer to SERBS than to Sicilians.

Anyway this is what a lot of mountain-dwelling mainlanders might score.

It's not really close, as I said. It's very approximate. Only a genetic test and a comparison between the genetics of the different populations could confirm whether there is a "Slavic influence" or not.

It is not with a calculator made by people that you will know that.

They shift very far northeast for Greeks such that they are like someone who is half Hungarian and half Sicilian.

As Enflamme said, the difference is not big.

Btw in the outskirts of Florina there are villages who still speak Slavic. There are people who have been assimilated but their grandparents can easily speak Slavic (the Slavic dialects in question are closer to Bulgarian and Slavic-Macedonian).

Im actually surprised that their distances aren't closer to Bulgarians. The people of Florina are mostly of a Slavic speaking background.

Even today? The people to whom these results belong have Greek names, not Slavic ones.

Still, compared to Cretans or Sicilians, or even to Peloponnesians these have a significant NE European shift, almost 30% on Dodecad K12b. This is 3x as high as in some Sicilians.
