Default Feeling lost in cities during night

When I'm walking down on streets alone in the night, I often lose my sense of reality and feel like I'm in a dream. Most of my nightmares in the past set in a pitch black strange city that I lost in, and I find myself rushing around to find my way out, coming across to strange and foreign peoples and etc. I often get the same strong feeling in real life too. Only difference is that I can't wake up from it.

Have you ever experienced a similar thing?

I do it all the time to 'dissapear' by blending in with the crowd and be left to my thoughts.

I used to do that a lot too. But people on the streets extremely annoy me. I don't do that anymore.

I really prefer very large cities to small towns because of something like this. They are wild and primal, you lost yourself there. Small towns are just umpff

People seek things they don't have. I wouldn't mind to live in a small Finnish town, quiet and away from everyone. Trust me, feeling "lost" in wilderness is better than feeling lost and alone in crowds. I live in a big ass crowded and depressing city. It doesn't help at all.

I really believe there is something similar about wilderness and megatowns. You see I'm wilderners person too. A little bit of explorer-type magic to it. I even used to backback on trails travelling sometimes 50-70 km's a day. There is curiosity to it, when I moved to new town I always wanted to check every street corner possible and when I got every place checked, I found it annoying.
Basically motivation was; where does this road lead? Big city - more roads.

I'd rather stay in home alone, spinning around for hours and thinking at night. No noise, no disturbance. It's my hobby. Occasionally go out for hunting, camping and fishing. I need a space like that to reduce my anxiety and increase my creativeness.
