It's something quite commonly believed among many of my Swedish friends also.
Sexyness and Germans does not go hand in hand... Remember the old joke with the punchline " ...but in hell it's the Germans who are the lovers!"

    Iberian stereotypes of Germans.

They are efficient, and more precise than us, and hence they work less and earn more money.Their political class is not so corrupt as ours and hence, it is a better organized country than we are.

They earn more euros, and have more holidays. They Love Spain and the Spaniards...and we also like them. We are like the opposite of each other, and yet we usually get along fine.

They have a very funny accent when they try to speak "en cristiano"

Girls are rather unnatractive. Older men have mostaches. Theirs is a poor country: a Spaniard thinks a poor country is that where Riojas and Jamón serrano are unable to be produced

They have good musicians , and in the last couple of centuries they have earned a reputation of very good engineers and scientists.

Hitler gave Franco and the fascists (a much more bigoted and less capable bunch) 40 years of control over one of the core regions of the western civilization, the Iberian peninsula, and ended up dead, with half of its country occupied by russians for another 40 years.

Fail. If only Hitler had learnt the lesson from Napoleon, he wouldn´t have invaded russia, and he wouldn´t have systematically wiped out Jews, Gypsies,Homosexuals, Spanish Republicans, Polish etc, and focused on Germany, France, Spain and Italy, leaving the brits and the americans alone....It would have saved us all a lot of suffering. He should have learnt from Isabel and Fernando and the early Aubsburgs (well Phillip the second wasn´t half as brilliant as his father and grandparents)

Germans have good sausages, better beer, and excellent cars.

They lack sense of humour, but they laugh stormly when drunk.

If I'm not mistaken there's a sizable anti-microwave movement in Germany. Who can blame them afterall:

I've heard that German women look very masculine, but I don't really understand why. There is nothing masculine about German women. Does anybody know where this stereotype originated?

The first thing I think about Germans is my grandfather. I think Germans are the friendliest, smartest, best looking and hardest working people on the planet. Germans are very much left brain thinkers; math, facts, grammar, literal, punctual.

Does anybody know where this stereotype originated?
Any bad stereotype of Germans originated out of The Great War or World War Two.

Indeed. Even though on the other side of the spectrum, they have produced some of the worlds most intellectual philosophers. Immanuel Kant and Arthur Schopenhauer being only two examples.

^ And are the reason us Americans made it to the moon when we did.

I had to find out who Werner Von Braun was on my own. But public school made sure I knew the name of a big fat sassy black lady who wouldn't move her big fat ass out of a seat. Go figure.

I suppose it's due to the fact that fairly few German women are willing to act out the brainless bimbo routine, for the benefit of equally dumb and insecure men.

My two cents: a mixture of war propaganda and the fact that the German language itself sounds very masculine (so a lady speaking it might seem more gruff than one speaking some Latin language of romance).

It's probably that too to some extent.
