I was in Svalbard last summer and one morning I noticed that a huge cruiser ship had just set ashore and dun dun dun out came like a thousand elderly German tourists. Quite a sight. Fortunately though it was too cold for socks and sandals.

Ofc I do hahaha..they hurt me if not. I'll take a pic of mine! Hahha...I even got same as sandals ..its funny when they stare at you..but well, its so comfy! My lovely Panama Jack.

Seriously, I think the sandals w. socks thing must the greatest dividing line between the north and the south.

I just don't understand what the big deal is. If seeing someone's undergarments (socks) is unsavoury, fair enough, but how is seeing someone's feet better?
