And there's no "European Civilization". Europe is divided between 3 Civilizations: Occident, Orient and the Russian world. Greece has been absorbed into Orient more than 2000 years ago and is part of it since then.

The difference is that these people have a prestigious past which will help them move to the top. You envy them that you would like to be in their place.
