Should I study Theology?

I dont need to become Priest or Teacher or whatever afterwards, I just would like to learn and study Theology because its very interesting.

Im religious but dont go to church regulary, I dont want to become priest, I just want to study and learn. In Munich you can do it too as combined with a second study http://www.uni-muenchen.de/studium/s...or1/index.html

Lol I only go to church a few times a year I wanna go more though also if youre interested you should go for it seek out the Lord

Mislim da. Zato sto ima mnogo pravoslavnih u austriji. Pogotovo u Becu. Ja isto samo idem za neke velike praznike (bozic, uskres, svetac etc.). Trebo bi cesce da idem.

Interesting, depends what your hopes are.. what you want to achieve. Is it spiritual growth, getting to know God, getting closer to God? If this, then I would discourage studying theology.

But if you would like to do that for academic knowledge gain, and perhaps a qualification to work for some churches, then yes, you can do that.

Go for it if you are interested! I was about to do the same thing 8 years ago but chose natural sciences instead... I was studying theology on my own in a small group with my theologian friends.
It gave me a lot, even tho i couldn't become a teacher (cos i didn't really take any courses). I don't know how much those studies are able to provide for ones spiritual life, hard to say if it is purely studying...
You can look for some theological bible studies around in your town by the way... Many churches do this, Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox, i'm sure they have something. Just remember to avoid Mormons man!
