Pictures of a typically Dutch institution: the bruin café. A typical smoke-filled neighbourhood pub where everyone knows each other and where the stamgasten (the regulars) have their own table. Because of the smoking ban this institution is now in rapid decline.

From 1962 to around 1970 the Dutch sought to replace the jeep with the German-built DKW Munga. It wasn't a raging success and after 1970 they were replaced with the old (Dutch-built) Nekaf jeeps which were in use until 1995.
