I think we should put them somewhere on the North Sea where they don't damage the view.

They emit low frequency waves that, according to some studies, may cause brain cancer and they also emit an annoying hiss when turning. I don't know about the cancer, what I know is that, when you see too much in the wild they start to annoy, on the other hand they produce a lot of clean energy. The problem is that sometimes we can't take that energy because, for example at night, everybody is sleeping and that energy may be loss. We are going to use that energy to pump up the water we used to produce energy in dams, that's a fantastic idea don't you think?
Nowadays in Portugal we have 220 eolic parks (!), we are building offshore too, as I said, it is starting to annoy. We are on the world top ten eolic energy producers and we cover, with all the other renewable energies, some 43% of our needs, that a fantastic accomplishment (IMO). We also build those babies. Each blade is an incredible piece of technology calibrated to the millimeter along tens of meters.
Sorry for the topic shift but that's something in which we excel. In these sad days it's always good to know.

Serra da Estrela is a mountain range known in the past as Mons Herminius.
It was the last stronghold of the Lusitani when things went wrong. Today it is mostly a wildlife refuge as the biggest Portuguese Natural Park and a weekend refuge in winter. There is a small sky station on the top (2000 m) and a huge number of nice villages and small towns in the surroundings.
This is the land of the fantastic Serra da Estrela shepherd dogs and of the Serra da Estrela cheese.

The city of Covilhã by the mountain

    A shepherd lodge

    Highlands lagoon

The Ametade Pit, camping place of Julius Caesar in the 50 b.C .campaign against the Lusitani

    The Iron Pit

The Serra da Estrela Shepherd dog. It was used to group the heard and protect it against the wolves. It's a beautiful dog.

The Serra Cheese... miam... with rye bread and red wine...
