Should Access To Birth Control Be A Human Right?

I don't think birth control is a human right and therefore it should be provided to you. In fact, aside from air, nothing is free - there's really no commodity that's just handed out to everyone.

However, I think that contraception access is a human right. It's still up to you to obtain it but there shouldn't be legal, cultural and financial barriers to accessing contraception, abortion and other family planning measures. That would be an infringement of women's rights.

Nothing should be a human right. Let each nation decide its laws.

But access to BC is important in the face of world over-population.

More population is needed in the industrialized world. That's why Europeans are pulling their hairs out over the thought of underpopulation and have to import migrants to make up for the falling birthrate.

Irrelevant. Indians moving to the USA are the least of anyone's issues or problems. They stick to themselves, and don't stir up any trouble. Not to mention Hindus aren't trying to convert Americans to Hinduism and believe in religious freedom - which ties in with birth control since religious conservatives are opposed to it.

We're socioeconomically even higher than most Anglos here which would means we're leagues above Southern European types - Italians, Greeks, Balkanoids, etc

I wasn't talking about the Indians migrants that are living outside of India. I was mainly talking about the folks that are still living in India. The Southern Indian states have low birth rates, so they don't have a problem with it comes to overpopulation and all that, but it's mostly the northern Indian states that do. Again, had India been a country with a population of less than 400 million as it was back in Gandhi's time, then the country would have been economically very prosperous and etc than it is today. Hell, even China's overpopulation isn't all roses either, and the country is one of the world's most polluted countries in the world. Egypt is the same as well.
