the Majority has always been Slavic in Macedonia no wonder.
Albanians even nowadays make up 25 - 30% of this country, Western Macedonia is usually Populated by Albanians, cities like Tetova, Gostivar, Dibra ( Debar ), Struga, Kercova ( Kichevo ) are inhabited by Albanians ( Majority ) and also Skopje and Kumanova have a big Albanian Population.
Surnames in Macedonia go like this:
Nowadays:
amongst Slavic Macedonians the Surnames are Macedonian
Amongst Albanians they are Albanian
During the Yugoslav regime:
Amongst Macedonians were Slavic
Amongst Albanians were Slavicized Albanian surnames of the type:
Malaj would be Malovski, Enveri would be Enverovski, Kurti would be Kurtishevski, Balaj would be Balovski or Balevski, Kodra would be Kodrievski, Izeiri would be Izeirovski etc etc....
