Well of course people lie. The media has been brownwashing Italians indeed. Of course it's disgusting behavior and very shameful. Those Arabs are often not from the Arabian peninsula that behave in such manner, usually from the Levant and sometimes North Africa. It seems to be quite common among those who have lost their roots and want to be Western but in reality they want to be White. Like I have said a lot of non-Whites often see Italy and especially South Italy as border between White and non-White. As for Mariah Carrey she has a different story. I know that for many self-hating Middle Easterners it comes from Hollywood defamation and from the colonial period. I have yet to see a person from the Arabian peninsula engaging in such disgusting behavior.

Actually I kinda agree with some of those views , most of the levantines , iraqis and north africans were arabized , most speak a variety that is so different from standart arabic , most have different kinds of food and traditions from peninsular arabs and most didn't think of themselves as arabs until the rise of arab nationalism in the second half of the last century . I personally believe that each arab country should keep its identity beyond Arabism because this ideology gave the arab world nothing more than trouble , we might be speaking the same language and our governements might have brainwashed people to think that they are real arabs , but we are not arabs (I am actually one of the few tunisians who can trace their family back to real arabs thanks to my family being a noble house but 98% in my country are not real arabs) .
