Also, I will say the world would have quite a loss if Trappist ales ever disappeared, but I can't say the same of either Brussels or Den Haag.

Anyway, good call on the colonial policy, but then again without it we wouldn't have Mr. Kurtz, who is probably one of the most Western literary characters of the past two centuries.

Den Haag is in the Northern Netherlands (I was born there) and our seat of government. At least read about the matter before you start writing.
You clearly haven't got the faintest clue about the Netherlands, North or South, our culture, our geography or our history.

Both The Hague and Brussels are centres of culture, diplomacy and learning. Each with a 1000 year history attached to it. No loss ? Seriously either read a bloody book about it or go visit it yourself. And if you're going to Den Haag expect me to be your personal tour guide because I know my city like the back of my hand.

The loss of either of those cities would be felt throughout Europe.. and throughout the world.
