As an Albo of Orthodox background i can say that nothing would change , we are not religious.

Now probably nothing but I think if Albanians were majority Ortodox Christians they would be fighting against Ottomans with Greek and Serbia. But as mostly Muslims they always were Ottomans puppets and that created lot of problem for them and all Balkan.

I would argue had not Albanians embraced Islam in large numbers the consequense would have been assimilation into surrounding countries. It happened a lot in the past especially with Orthodox Albanians. And for political reasons being surrounded by hostile people having no allies it was a wise decision to be allied with the Turks.
Today it would not matter much as most are not religious. But the tide is turning in that aspect as more and more start practising their faith.

Indeed, Albanians had many anti Ottoman rebellions. Even the first king of Egypt was Albanian. He managed to secede from the Ottoman empire without any foreigner help. The problem with Albanians , wasn't the religion, instead it was the lack of help from a foreigner power, as it was the case with Montenegro, Serbia and Greece
