Isn't it pathetic how Russians glorify a past where the best among their people were genocided in mass by foreign elements? Early Bolshevik leaders were all Jews and Stalin himself was Georgian. I think it's the most extreme case of Stockholm syndrome in all of history.

I yearn to read "Two Hundred Years Together", by Solzhenitsyn, but I have only read excerpts from the " Solzhenitsyn Reader", and what is online.

It would seem that no publisher has the courage to publish it in English. Simon Sebag-M's "Court of the Red Tsar", just does not dare to wobble the jelly of Jewish culpability, yet, he would the best man for it.

Even Solzhenitsyn published " Two Hundred" at the end of his life and career, such is the risk of speaking up.

Jews were not looked upon favourably in later communism. A relative of mine married Kliment Voroshilov, and it was certainly not looked upon kindly - she had to convert to orthodoxy to be allowed to marry him.

As for early communism - Jews did not live good lives before communism. Constant pogroms, Tsar-mandated antisemitism, poverty. Is it so unsurprising that they embraced an idealistic pursuit of equality? It's very easy to judge in hindsight.
