It is primarily the way he was photographed and his age.
His basic features are HIGHLY masculine!
Also light pigmentation can make people appear, especially with freckles, somewhat "softer" than their real features are. With dark pigmentation and a beard he would look "brutally dominant" in the progressive intelligent-dominant way...
I know what you mean, but it is primarily the presentation, especially on this picture:
All of those posted by you are:
- darker.
- older
- two have a beard
- being photographed in a way suggesting male dominance
I can assure you, this fellow could do the same, looking "as dominant"...
They are good examples, but this one plays in the same league.
