Caucasoid is basically a non-scientific term.
Modern day Europeans and West Asians are basically a mixture of 4 ancient populations that were completely different races: WHG, EHG, Levant_Neolithic, Iran_Neolithic.
Let's tackle the question nevertheless from a genetic standpoint.
We will examine two populations that could be considered by some as benchmarks of being 'Caucasoid' and compare the genetic distances from these populations to both Kazakhs and Ethiopian Oromo (the largest ethic group in Ethiopia was chosen to be representative).
1. Germans:
> getMonte('kazakh_ethiop.txt', 'german.txt')
[1] "1. CLOSEST SINGLE ITEM DISTANCE%"
Kazakh Ethiopian_Oromo
37.58235 45.59607
Conclusion: Kazakhs are closer to Germans than Oromo Ethiopians and therefore could be considered more 'Caucasoid' if we take Germans as a benchmark 'Caucasoid' population.
2. Armenians:
> getMonte('kazakh_ethiop.txt', 'armenian.txt')
[1] "1. CLOSEST SINGLE ITEM DISTANCE%"
Kazakh Ethiopian_Oromo
38.00040 41.61243
Conclusion: Kazakhs are slightly closer to Armenians than Oromo Ethiopians and therefore Kazakhs could be considered a little bit more 'Caucasoid' genetically.
So genetically Kazakhs are a bit more 'Caucasoid' than Oromo Ethiopians.
