    Russo doesn't mean Russian but redhead It's an ancient southern Italian form for "Rosso" and means the same thing of Rossi (reds, redheads).

    Caputo meant "Big Head", form the Latin <> (head).

    Come ho scritto in inglese nella pagina precedente, tutti i vari cognomi che c'entrano col ferro derivano dalla professione di fabbro (tranne "Ferraresi"), e sono traducibili in inglese come "Smith".
