Default Sicilians; Phenotypical diversity and resemblance to other groups.

They've always fascinated me due to their complex history and they don't have a thread yet so here is one. This can also serve to post pictures of them.

Obviously they look closer to Greeks, due to their greek ancestry.

They're essentially Greek and Italic first, then with smaller amounts of Phoenician, Norman, Northern Italian, and North African depending on the part of the island.

Sicilians look close to Greek and Italian. That's because mostly what they are. Some Sicilians might show Berberid strains but they are rare few. Sicilians might look like Levantines, because many Levantines are East-Meds but in general no they look very different from one another. As Levantines are altered by Arabian and Armeniod admixture.

    Basically Greek and Italian.

    I didn't know they did.

Oh and btw I don't think all Sicilians are swarthy. Lighter individuals like this are probably commonplace in areas and could be Norman descendants or descended from northern Italy in the Middle Ages.
