what about the fact life seem happier in many poorer countries ? I know when I go to Bosnia, which is quite poorer than Croatia, people seem to enjoy life better and smile more.
It made me think.

I think top developed countries tend to be overly individualistic and people there quite lonely.

Somalia is one of the best examples out there where you can find the combo of religion and poverty. They got nothing but god. I doubt they are happy with it.
