I know there are a few of you in here that have a soft spot for Epic Poetry like myself. Well I am currently reading one that slipped me by, Statius' Thebaid (A.D. Melville translation).

I read the first half of the newest volume of the Occidentla Quarterly, which showed up in the mail a few days ago. Dr. MacDonald, the new editor, has managed to affect a marked change for the better in the journal's quality.

Original 1936 edition.

Witty as always, but pretty dated subject matters. I'd recommend this only to serious Chesterton fanatics.
