Probably but that's not the case today nor were it sustainable due to the wars and terrorist bombings. The Anglo-American New World Order destroyed the Serbian spirit, soul and heart we had left after 500 years of Ottoman occupation. This is proven with our surrender to the NATO forces who bombed our country in 1999. Had we stayed strong we would've not capitulated and Kosovo would've been in Serbian hands today not in Anglo-American-NATO-Shiptar hands.

The Kurds could be useful for insurgency efforts in eastern portions of Anatolia but it doesn't have any conventional force and if it were to face Turkey's it would be beaten quite quickly. And the Armenians? They're too small numerically to present any real threat to Turks.

I'd rather re-take an American city first, namely Washington D.C., and hang the political turks from flagpoles.
Then we can talk about Byzantium.

5 Stages of Grief:
Denial: The initial stage: "It can't be happening." Maniot is on top of me.
Anger: "Why ME? It's not fair?!" (either referring to God, oneself, or Maniot perceived, rightly or wrongly, as "responsible")
Bargaining: "Just let me stay to post another day Maniot, please."
Depression: "I'm so sad, why are you picking on me Maniot?"
Acceptance: "It's going to be OK." There is always Skadi.

Bisanzio, Efeso and Smirne back to Greece, Galata (a borough of Istanbul) and Sinope to Italy. Thank you. Bisanzio could also go to Venice anyway.......

Many of the Kurds are actually loyal to Turkey despite what the Western press says. Kurds are very much integrated into Turkish society. There is only recent skirmishes between them and the Turks. Many Kurds have Turkish relatives as well. Kurds will not be allies to the West that's for certain. If the Turkish government in fact recognizes the Kurdish culture and language the question of independence would not even rear it's head. Turkey is also not Iraq where you can break it up apart based on ethnic and religious lines. Turks are more united and are very strong power in the Near East. A war with Turkey can and will indeed cause more havoc and destabilization in the Balkans and the Middle East than there is already. The situation is unrealistic and even dangerous in the long run to the Balkan regions and possibly the whole world.

That's exactly why we should build up our forces and strike as soon as possible --- without a declaration of war.
Wake up and smell the coffee.
