Iberians: Which non-Iberian group do they look closest to?

Portuguese have more than Spaniards (like 7%) but overall that's not even that much. How is it possible? Look at a map and look at where NW Africa is, and which European countries it is geographically closest to and it should be obvious.

admixtures, this is very interesting, take a look at tha column of Spaniards. in particularly the pink section, it's the highest in European Ethnicities.
I' m speaking of northwest africa admixture.

If you look at a similar chart for all Europe you'll find more foreig admixture from North to South, East to West. Like Turks in the Balkans.

As the general rule, NW African increases as you go southwest in Europe (and is highest in Iberia as to be expected) while West and Southwest Asian increase as you go east.

I thought NW African immigration regarded especially France because Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria are francophone countries. While genetics reveals that Iberians are the only Europids linked with NW Africans with those stunning percentages. 7% of moor blood is a very high percentage.

Ethnic French don't have much if any North African ancestry though.

7% isn't very high overall. It's only significant if you're comparing it to other European countries.

Spain has 2%. Portugal has more, like 5-7%.

Southern Italy has the most SW Asian in Europe, but I think the Balkans has more West Asian.
