I thought there were much more descendants of Italians in Uruguay. Like 60 or 70%.

And the Brazilian population must be by now of 205 million persons not 193.

She said numbers of 2010. Propably among whites, italian descendants reach 60% or 70% in Argentina.

And every pardo in São Paulo has Italian surname. And São Paulo could be even a country, there are more pardos there than a single country population in Europe. If u look at São paulo singers, especiallly funk singers u see plentys of pardos with Italian origin like Mc Livinho(Oliver Decesary Santos)

Italian ancestry in São Paulo was like a virus. If you count pardos and whites, São Paulo turns an Italy 2.0

Yep, when more years italians surnames pass in Brazil, more they will appear among pardos.
Iberians 400 years in Brazil and the result is a lot of pardos using their surnames.
Italians 150 years in Brazil and the result is a lot of pardos paulistas with their surnames, the South has some pardo italians but not so many at the moment.
Germans has some pardos with their surnames, but still few. Maybe we will se more in two decades.

Iberians surnames, only 40% of them are carried by white people.
Italians surnames, only 65% of them are carried by white people.
German surnames, 85% are carried by white people.

Do think Sao Paulo state can have more percentage of italian descendants than Argentina? Both have around 44 milion people today.

A point for Sao Paulo is that all state is heavily italian-iberian impacted and Argentina just the majority of the states, not the complete country.
