You may have a point, but I'm not to blame if international stereotypes about Spaniards are more based on Andalusians than on (northern) Castilians.
Constant disagreeing with Spanishness after three centuries is not victimism, just the right of not wanting to be assimilated. As the motto of the Catalans says: 'We were, we are and we shall be'. If it wasn't because of Catalonia, Spain would be like France these days, an übercentralized Castilian state with a few Basques and Galicians speaking what they'd consider "patois". And no present Comunidad Autónoma would enjoy the privileges they have now. It is soo cool to accuse the Catalans of victimism because they're the first to complain and demand, and once we achieve our claims, all the others copy us at once. Victimists? We're the ones who show our faces.
I don't put them together. Spaniards = Castilians (including Andalusians, the Novísima Castilla). --Although I recognize there's a huge difference between northern Castilians and Andalusians.
I guess you consider Basques and Catalans from France as Spaniards too...
And anyone who reads you will think that Catalonia is just a Spanish region... To each, his own.
