Somewhat similar in origin, but not so much otherwise. Wonder why?

10-15 years ago I saw a program about southafricans policemen. They were in Johanesbourg or Pretoria. They spoke in english with blacks in streets, and in afrikaans between them. Most were blondes, but there were one policeman very dark who was the protagonist. There were two boys with strange koixan features although they were blondes. These two boys seems to be gardeners , mecanics,etc because they have a blue uniform.

I think that this afrikaans music video show a good representation of boer people from Pretoria. Most of them seem to be not very ritch.

No it doesn't lol. It focuses on people who are struggling. I lived in Pretoria myself for 1 year. It contains neighbourhoods of the wealthiest Afrikaners in the country, I think, along with (the majority) a middle class, and then you get a poor section (which is growing under the new SA's racial discrimination, since they can't find jobs anymore). But the poor ones are still in a minority, this is the true reality.

It exists among most Afrikaners, if not all. Actually larger than I imagined before. But some Afrikaners also carry English surnames, and have had them since long ago. Irish ancestry is also common.

I am not saying that most are poor. I am only saying that many afrikaner who apears in this video seem to be poor. Evidently afrikaner compared with blacks and coloureds are ritcher by far, but there are also an importan group of poor afrikaners( not so poor compared with blacks). Between british southafricans there arent so many poor people.

You suggested that it was an accurate reflection on the average Afrikaner. This is absolutely untrue. These kind of videos are made to elicit (rightfully) sympathy for poor whites, who are increasing by the day because of the discrimination against the minority. There is also no safety net of benefits like Europeans have. If you don't have a job, and savings, you're basically screwed.

There is this inferior image of Afrikaners that some English-speaking SA's mostly want to portray which is nonsense. And how do you know that there aren't poor Anglophone whites? Of course there are, they're basically in the same boat.

Relations between English and Afrikaans speaking whites were never that good, and I have found that the British English people are actually refreshingly different and far less arrogant.

The vast majority of top scientists, intellectuals etc among whites are Afrikaners. I have seen that Afrikaans children also generally outperform English-speaking ones at school. I'm not trying to be rude or excessively proud/patriotic, but I want to counter this idea that many foreigners hold that I know for a fact is distorted.

Most whites in Africa dress in a pretty slobbish way tbh,shorts and a t shirt and i never really wore shoes unless i was made to.It has no bearing on their wealth.
I saw the same in Australia too.
